Digital Punk
Punk's confrontation carried by electronic tools, without a single settled genre history.
Digital Punk can refer to punk musicians making greater use of drum machines and software or to Electronic producers adopting a punk approach to noise, pace and performance. The term overlaps with Synth Punk, Electro-Punk and Digital Hardcore, which have more specific histories. Atari Teenage Riot developed an exceptionally aggressive Berlin-based electronic hardcore sound during the 1990s; other bands wrote recognizable punk songs with computerized instruments. Neither practice supplies a universal definition.
